East Windsor Police Use Life-Saving Dose of Narcan in Possible Drug Overdose

Police responded to a woman who was unresponsive and barely breathing.

East Windsor police officers used a life-saving dose of Narcan during a possible drug overdose Friday morning (April 3) on Fairview Drive.

Officers responded to the scene at about 11:30 a.m. and observed a female was unresponsive and barely breathing.

Police said an officer administrated a dose of Narcan to the female and she soon became responsive and alert. The female was transported to Hartford Hospital.

Officers were trained to administer Narcan by the East Windsor Ambulance Association last year, according to the department’s Facebook page. Narcan is used to reverse opioid depression.

Police seized 50 bags of what is suspected to be heroin from the home along with two needles.
