Spelling Snafus on Signs in Northern Connecticut: PHOTOS

A lighthearted look at some spelling gaffes on various signs in Hartford and Tolland counties.

The social media frenzy Monday surrounding a spelling error on a Berlin road sign prompted Patch editors in northern Connecticut to dig into their photo archives for some lighthearted gems from the region.

Mistakes have been found on all types of signs, ranging from professionally-produced business banners to handwritten cardboard signs installed with duct tape, seen in various towns from Enfield to Vernon.

Words which were misspelled included "enterence," "assitant," "Chrsitian," "equipement," "gourment" and "launromat."
