Windsor Locks Obituary: Joan Jansen, 75

Joan C. (Norris) Jansen, 75, of Windsor Locks entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital with her family by her side.

Joan was born February 8, 1941, in Enfield, the daughter of the late William and Florence (Scollon) Norris. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family, and with her friends in the community room at Southwest Senior Housing.

She is survived by her two children, Sandy Goulet and her husband, Tim of Suffield and Matthew Jansen of Florida; six grandchildren, Nicole, Kelsey, Tyler, Caleb, Christian and Eric; a great-granddaughter Elizabeth and was anticipating the arrival of her 2nd great-grandchild, Baby Rinaldi in March. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Craika of Windsor Locks and Cheryl Glisson of CA; close friend, Winsome Lawrence and several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and William Norris and two sisters, Florence Bednarz and Margaret Hancock.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday December 26, 2016, from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. Funeral services and burial for Joan will be held at the convenience of the family.
