Windsor Locks Obituary: Jose Reyes, 76

Jose Reyes, 76, of Hartford, beloved husband for 49 years of the late Alejandrina Reyes, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016.

Born in Puerto Rico on March 29, 1940, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Isabel (Colon) Reyes. Jose worked for many years at Emhart Glass in Windsor Locks. He enjoyed casino trips, Spanish Christmas caroling, playing the accordion and traveling. Most of all, however, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A loving father and grandfather, Jose will be dearly missed by his four children, Joseph Reyes, Maribel Berrios, Millie Marchionni and Lourdes Reyes and his nine adored grandchildren, Chasity, Jose, Jr., Alex, Marcus, Jomar, Antonio, Jolise, Jo-Celine and Joseph.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (August 29) at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave., Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
