• Disability ministry to get long awaited spotlight in Orlando (baptistpress.com) — A disability ministry at High Tide Church in Dagsboro is being lifted up as a model as Southern Baptists prepare a major report on serving people with disabilities. The story explains how a small team there created the Wonderfully Made ministry for a local young man with autism, while national leaders push for better training, accessibility, and inclusion across thousands of churches. 
• DBG announces educational lecture on Delaware birds (coastalpoint.com) — A June 11 evening lecture at Delaware Botanic Gardens on Piney Neck Road in Dagsboro will explore how birds can enrich everyday life. Ornithologist Ian Stewart will highlight Delaware’s birding hotspots and share practical tips for attracting more birds to local backyards. Tickets are required and available through the gardens’ website.
• One Firefighter Injured in Destructive Ocean View House Fire (wmdt.com) — Dagsboro’s volunteer firefighters were among several local companies battling a destructive Ocean View house fire on May 30, where one firefighter was injured and later released from the hospital. Crews fought heavy flames for about an hour at the unoccupied Lathbury Court home and stayed on scene for several more hours to fully secure the property and confirm everyone, including a neighbor and dog, were safe.
