• Georgetown Unveils Patriotic Crosswalk Art in The Circle for America 250 Celebration (hoyendelaware.com) — New patriotic crosswalk art now brightens The Circle in downtown Georgetown, celebrating America 250 with 13 Delaware-blue and colonial-yellow stars honoring the original colonies. The town is tying this installation to a full slate of Semiquincentennial events, including a June 13 artisan and craft festival and a July 4 Declaration reading, inviting residents to visit, snap photos, and share their Georgetown pride. 
• Sussex Academy Names New Chief Academic Officer (wmdt.com) — Sussex Academy in Georgetown has appointed Dr. Nikki Miller as its new chief academic officer, stepping in June 1 to overlap with retiring leader Janet Owens. Miller will guide K–12 academics, supervise deans and coordinators, and work closely with teachers to strengthen instruction. Families can expect continuity with an added focus on student achievement and instructional growth.
