• Supportive housing committee presents progress report to Georgetown council (coasttv.com) — Georgetown’s Supportive Housing Committee has briefed the mayor and town council on months of work to better coordinate services and tackle homelessness in town. Members described input from local organizations and are now refining specific recommendations. Residents also urged council members to closely study conditions in each ward as the committee continues shaping solutions for Georgetown neighborhoods. 
• Georgetown elects Townsend, Briggs (delawarepublic.org) — Georgetown voters have elected Townsend as the town’s first woman mayor, along with Briggs and unopposed councilman Penuel Barrett, all backed by the “Make Georgetown Great Again” group. Townsend will succeed retiring Mayor Bill West, with the new leaders expected to be sworn in at the May 26 Town Council meeting.
