📰 News we're reading

• The Granary to bring intentional designs to Milton (delawarebusinesstimes.com) — A massive new 451-acre development called The Granary is underway just a mile from downtown Milton, promising 1,350 homes, new parks, and long-sought waterfront access over the next 15 years. Plans include an underground pedestrian tunnel linking to town trails, microbreweries, boutique-style retail, and extensive green space, all designed around walkability and community gathering for Milton-area residents.

• Ocean One plans adds housing units, keeps large retail footprint in Milton (wrde.com) — Developers are dramatically expanding the proposed Ocean One project near Routes 1 and 16 in Milton, with plans for up to 500 housing units plus a 500,000-square-foot shopping center. While the site is designated a growth area in Sussex County’s plan, some Milton residents worry roads and other infrastructure are already decades behind what this massive project would require.
