• Selbyville couple under investigation by DSP (coastalpoint.com) — Selbyville residents should know that Delaware State Police are actively investigating a local couple, while emphasizing they see no current public-safety threat and have made no arrests. The pair, one a Maryland teacher and the other an Ocean City police officer, have been placed on leave as Maryland school officials and Ocean City police conduct their own internal reviews. 
• Hughes, Klahr finish ninth at USA Beach Volleyball national championship (coastalpoint.com) — Two young beach volleyball players from Dagsboro and Millsboro, including a Selbyville Middle School student, placed ninth out of 31 teams at a national championship in Virginia Beach. • Ocean View fire causes multiple injuries (coastalpoint.com) — Fire crews from across the region, including Selbyville volunteers, helped battle a serious house fire on West Avenue in Ocean View that left multiple residents injured and one in critical condition. Heavy hoarding inside the home made searches and hose advancement difficult, but firefighters ultimately rescued all occupants and stayed on scene to extinguish hidden hot spots.
