Man charged in fatal Colonial Heights shooting near Wilmington (delawareonline.com) — A man has been charged with first-degree murder after a Sept. 6 shooting in Colonial Heights, just outside Wilmington, that left 32-year-old Donald Nave dead. New Castle County police say automated license plate readers helped them identify and arrest 31-year-old Hector Sanchez of Wilmington, who is being held on $1 million cash bail. Investigators are still seeking tips from anyone who witnessed or knows more about the incident.

Piffaro opens 2026-2027 season 'At the Sign of the Crumhorn' » Early Music America (earlymusicamerica.org) — Wilmington music lovers can catch Piffaro's Renaissance instruments live at Christ Church Christiana Hundred on October 18, plus additional Wilmington dates throughout the 2026–27 season. The Philadelphia-based ensemble is bringing historically informed performances, free student admission, and online streaming options, giving local residents several chances to experience early music close to home.
