• Wilmington Gun Probe Leads to Arrest, Altered Firearm Seized (mychesco.com) — Wilmington police say an 18-year-old was arrested on North Tatnall Street after officers allegedly found a loaded handgun with an obliterated serial number. The suspect faces multiple firearm and resisting arrest charges and is being held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution, highlighting ongoing local enforcement efforts around illegal guns in city neighborhoods. 
• Wilmington records sixth shooting victim since Sunday (6abc.com) — Wilmington has seen six people wounded in shootings since Sunday, including a 47-year-old man injured Thursday afternoon on West Third Street and now in stable condition. Police have also responded to gunfire on West 34th Street, Christiana Avenue, and North Washington at West Seventh, bringing this year's shooting victim count to at least 70, up from 55 at this time last year.
• Delaware Walk to End Alzheimer's events set for this fall (delawarelive.com) — Wilmington residents are invited to join this fall's Walk to End Alzheimer's, with one event in southern Delaware on Sept. 26 and a Wilmington walk on Oct. 31. Funds raised will support research and local care and support services for the more than 22,000 Delawareans living with Alzheimer's and their caregivers, with easy online registration for individuals and teams.
