1st Degree Murder Charge Filed In Fatal Shooting Of MD Man: Police

D.C. homicide detectives filed a first degree murder charge against a suspect in the 2021 fatal shooting of 18-year-old Noel Prince Nicol.

WASHINGTON, DC — D.C. homicide detectives charged a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting on Oct. 14, 2021 of 18-year-old Noel Prince Nicol of Silver Spring, Maryland, according to a police release.

Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 21-year-old Jordan Jones of Silver Spring on Tuesday. He was then taken to the Homicide Branch of the Metropolitan Police Department, where he was charged with first degree murder while armed, according to police.

Nicol was found unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound around 4:18 p.m., on Oct. 14, 2021, in the 2000 block of Savannah Place, Southeast.

Emergency medical personnel examined Nicol and determined that he had died from his injuries.
