Coronavirus: 10 Weekday Food Distribution Sites Open In DC
The D.C. government opened 10 weekday food distribution sites to help feed families during the coronavirus pandemic.
WASHINGTON, DC — District residents looking for help in acquiring meals for their families during the coronavirus pandemic will have a new resource thanks to 10 weekday grocery distribution sites that started serving the community on Monday.
Launched in partnership with Martha's Table and DC Central Kitchen, the grocery distribution sites will be open to all families Monday-Friday, from 12:30-2 p.m. The sites will offer pre-packed grocery bags with fresh produce and dry goods on a first-come, first serve basis

The distribution sites will be at the following locations:
Mondays

- Brookland Middle School (Ward 5), 150 Michigan Ave., N.E.
- Eastern SeniorHigh School (Ward 6), 1700 East Capitol St., N.E.
Tuesdays
- Kelly Miller Middle School (Ward 7), 301 49th St., N.E.
- Stanton Elementary School (Ward 8), 2701 Naylor Road, S.E.
Wednesdays
- Coolidge High School/Ida B. Wells Middle School (Ward 4), 6315 5th St., N.W.
- Woodson High School (Ward 7), 540 55th St., N.E.
Thursdays
- Anacostia High School (Ward 8), 1601 16th St., S.E.
- Kimball Elementary School (Ward 7) 3375 Minnesota Ave., S.E.
Fridays
- Ballou High School (Ward 8), 3401 4th St., S.E.
- Columbia Heights Education Campus (Ward 1), 3101 16th St., N.W.

D.C. Public Schools is also offering breakfast and lunch at a number of schools and other facilities across the District.
In addition, residents who have been confined to their homes due to the direction of their medical provider or to self-quarantine, or if they have no other means to acquire these items, may request food and other essential items be delivered to their homes via the COVID-19 Needs Hotline and Web Portal.
