D.C. Post Office Robbed, $50,000 Reward Offered: USPS

The United States Postal Inspection Service is searching for a suspect in connection with the Tuesday robbery.

WASHINGTON, DC — A post office in Washington, D.C. was robbed Tuesday afternoon, prompting officials to offer a $50,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest.

The robbery happened around 2:40 p.m. at a post office in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast, the United States Postal Inspection Service in D.C. said in a statement. According to a Fox 5 report, the suspect was armed.

The suspect is described as a man with a light complexion who is 20 to 30 years old. According to investigators, he was wearing a black jacket with a brown collar, tan pants, a black backpack, and black "Hoke" brand sneakers with white soles.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call 877-876-2455. All information is kept confidential, and the USPIS is offering a reward of up to $50,000.
