Double Shooting In Shipley Leaves 1 Dead, Another Injured: DC Police

WASHINGTON, DC — D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Clayton Marshall of Southwest on Tuesday afternoon in the Shipley area, according to a police release. A second man was also hospitalized with a gunshot wound in connection with this incident.

Officers from the from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District found Marshall suffering from gunshot wounds around 12:22 p.m. They had been called to the 2200 block of Savannah Street, Southeast for the report of a shooting.

Marshall was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his wounds, but he later died. Police learned that another man who had been shot as part of the same incident sought treatment for a gunshot wound at another hospital.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
