Metro Riders Furious, Red Line A Disaster Again
After Friday's epic meltdown, things continue to be ugly on the Red Line Tuesday.
WASHINGTON, DC — Metro riders' anger continues to rise as yet another morning rush hour debacle on the Red Line has left riders stranded for long stretches. And they're venting their frustrations on social media big time.
On Friday, it was two arcing incidents that caused massive delays. On Tuesday, another "track problem" has been reported outside of Gallery Place, leading to single-tracking between Farragut North and Judiciary Square. Metro is even having to offload trains early and turn back for service.
Despite promises that SafeTrack would fix much of the woes the system is currently facing, that so far hasn't come to fruition, and Metro riders are absolutely furious.

"So much for Safe Track," remarked Twitter user Omari DanielsOmari Daniels.
"'Back2Good'? this is good?" added David Feinman. "What was the point of 'SafeTrack' if this is still happening?"

Today I asked myself "should I try the bus?" And decided not to. Now I've been sitting on a stuck train for a half hour. @unsuckdcmetro pic.twitter.com/LRKf5qBw2V
