Metro Schedule For Feb. 2 - 3: Single-Tracking, More

If you're taking the Metro this weekend, you should plan accordingly.

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do in the D.C. metro area this weekend — including DC Brunch Fest, 'It's Hip to Be Square: The Mint Family', Alexandria Boutique Warehouse Sale, and Ice Yards.

If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Feb. 2 or Sunday, Feb. 3, you should plan accordingly. Service changes might cause some delays. Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:

Red Line trains will operate every 8 minutes between Van Ness-UDC and Silver Spring, and every 16 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont.

Due to rail work, Red Line trains will single-track between Medical Center and Friendship Heights.

On Saturday, Orange and Silver Line trains will run every 24 minutes. On Sunday, trains will operate every 20 minutes.

Silver Line trains will single-track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Rd.

Blue Line trains will operate between Franconia-Springfield and New Carrollton every 24 minutes on Saturday and every 20 minutes on Sunday.

Due to rail work, Blue Line trains will single-track between Pentagon City and Arlington Cemetery on Saturday. Riders traveling to and from Benning Rd., Capitol Heights, Addison Rd., Morgan Blvd., and Largo Town Center should use the Silver Line to get to their destination.

Yellow Line trains will run every 20 minutes between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square. Trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule from Huntington to Fort Totten on Sunday.

Yellow Line trains will also single-track between Pentagon City and L'Enfant Plaza on Saturday. Riders traveling to and from stations north of Mt. Vernon Square should take the Green Line to get to their destination.

Green Line trains will run on a regular weekend schedule.
