FBI Seeks Help In Identifying Suspect Wanted For Placing Pipe Bombs Outside Party HQs
FBI is still looking for the person who left pipe bombs at Democratic and Republican party headquarters the night before the Jan. 6 attack.

WASHINGTON, DC — It's been more than a year and the FBI has not been able to identify the person who left pipe bombs outside the national headquarters of the Republican and Democratic parties on the night before the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Surveillance footage taken between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. shows a hooded person placing a pipe bomb in the alley behind the Republican National Committee, located at 310 First St., S.E., and then a second bomb next to a park bench near the Democratic National Committee at 430 South Capitol St., S.E.
Although the person was able to hide their identity by wearing a hooded gray sweatshirt, a white face mask, glasses and gloves, the FBI has released photos of other details that it hopes will help the public identify the suspect.
