Suspect Charged With Breaking Into A Fairfax Business And Stealing Vaping Products

A Fairfax County man was charged with breaking into a tobacco shop on Fairfax Boulevard last Wednesday and stealing vaping products.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a city man Monday in connection with last Wednesday's robbery of the Tobacco Hut store located at 10470 Fairfax Blvd., according to a police release.

An investigation by city police revealed that a male suspect had used a rock to break out the glass in the front doors of the store on Oct. 27. The man then stole vaping products before leaving the scene on foot. Police issued warrants after they identified the suspect as Luis Castillo, 18, of 11760 Rockaway Lane in Fairfax County.

With the assistance of county police, Castillo was taken into custody on Monday. Police charged him with breaking and entering and petit larceny. Castillo was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
