Diet Coke, Sprite And Fanta Recalled In FL Due To Foreign Materials
After nearly 2,000 cases of the sodas were affected by the recall, the Coca-Cola Company told media the affected cans have been pulled.

FLORIDA — Nearly 2,000 cases of Diet Coke, Sprite and Fanta Orange were recently recalled due to the presence of potential foreign materials, according to a U.S. Food and Drug Administration notice.
The affected Coca-Cola Company products were sold in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi, prompting the Nov. 6 voluntary Class II recall by the Alabama-based United Packers, according to the FDA. The recall is ongoing and has not yet expired.
It is unknown what type of foreign materials were found in the cans.

The following products were recalled:
- Diet Coke: packaged in 12-ounce aluminum cans - 12 pack fridge pack, UPC number 49000028911, Best By: 01/29/24
- Fanta Orange: packaged in 12-ounce aluminum cans - 12 pack fridge pack, UPC: 49000030730, Best By: 07/29/24
- Sprite: packaged in 12-ounce aluminum cans - 12 pack fridge pack, UPC: 49000028928, Best By: 07/29/24
The Coca-Cola Company told NBC News the affected cans had been removed from the market.

The current recall is the second time since 2021 that Coca-Cola has had to recall its products due to foreign materials. NBC News reported Minute Maid juice products were recalled due to contamination by metal bolts or washers.
