FL Man Threw Christmas Tree At Wife Who Asked For Dinner Help
Lake County police were called to a couple's Fruitland Park home after the upset man threw a Christmas tree at his wife, reports said.
FRUITLAND PARK, FL — A Florida man is facing multiple charges after authorities said he threw a Christmas tree at his wife when she asked him to help with dinner, according to reports.
Richard Atchison, 52, of Fruitland Park is charged with third-degree felony false imprisonment and domestic violence as well as a misdemeanor violation of an injunction following the Monday incident, the Orlando Sentinel reported, citing the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Sentinel, police were called to Aitchison's house around 7:15 p.m. Police said Aitchison and his wife were arguing, and when she asked him to help her with dinner, he became upset with her.

Aitchison reportedly packed his things, but later decided he wanted his wife to leave because he had been drinking, Fox 35 reported.
When she tried to leave, Aitchison reportedly shoved her before he picked up their Christmas tree and threw it at her, according to Fox.

Aitchison was booked into Lake County Jail and released on Tuesday on an $8,000 bond, the Sentinel reported.
