‘Teaching It A Lesson’: Florida Man Tries To Toss Live Gator
The man was arrested in Daytona Beach Shores after allegedly stealing the alligator from a miniature golf course, according to reports.
DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, FL — A Florida man was arrested this week after attempting to throw a live alligator onto the roof of a beachside cocktail lounge, according to multiple reports citing local authorities.
The 32-year-old man was arrested Thursday after he reportedly stole the gator from an enclosure at a miniature golf course.
Police said they saw the man take the gator by its tail, hit it against the building's awning, throw it to the ground, and stomp on it twice, The AP reported.

When asked why he was trying to toss the gator, the man said he was "teaching it a lesson."
The man was identified as William "Bubba" Hodge by WEAR-TV.

Hodge is facing charges of possession and injury of an alligator, burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
