• Woman struck, killed by semi-truck at Baldwin truck stop parking lot (jacksonville.com) — A woman in her late 20s was struck and killed Tuesday evening by a turning semi-truck in the parking lot of the Love's Travel Stop at I-10 and U.S. 301 in Baldwin. Jacksonville authorities say the driver didn't see her, and the death adds to a rising toll of pedestrian fatalities in Duval County and Northeast Florida this year.

• Parents raise concerns after loaded gun found in Baldwin Middle-Senior High principal's car (firstcoastnews.com) — Parents at Baldwin Middle-Senior High are voicing serious concerns after Duval County school police found a loaded, holstered gun in Principal Michael Smith's car while it was parked on campus. The superintendent has reassigned Smith home, cited prior non-firearm allegations, and said district leaders will temporarily oversee the school while the investigation and court process move forward.
