Man Fatally Stabbed Wife At Home With Their 2 Children Present: Manatee Sheriff
A Manatee County man was arrested for murder for fatally stabbing his wife, the sheriff's office said. Their children were home at the time.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A man was arrested after fatally stabbing his wife Thursday afternoon at their southern Manatee County home, authorities said.
Jesse Jones, 39, called 911 to report that he stabbed his wife around 5:40 p.m., the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
When they arrived, deputies found his wife, 32-year-old Meaghan Bowler, in the bathroom with stab wounds.

First responders performed life-saving measures on her before she was brought to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries, MCSO said.
The couple’s two children, both under the age of two, were also at the home and were unharmed, the sheriff’s office said.

Jones was taken into custody and charged with murder.
