PLANT CITY, FL — A 20-year-old Plant City man was arrested earlier this month and charged with threatening to kill the president of the United States, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release.

Nick Guadalupe Cruz-Lopez faces up to five years in federal prison if convicted.

He posted a photo of himself in a vehicle holding an AR-15-style rifle with the words, “MAGA Otw to kill trump” (sic) to his Instagram account on April 2, the department said.
