Investigators warn residents that the Sheriff’s Office will never demand payments by phone or apps and urge anyone targeted to call the non-emergency line. 
• Lawyer for mom accused of killing baby says he was in 'embarrassing situation' (courttv.com) — A high-profile criminal case in Bunnell is moving forward as a judge denied bond for a young mother accused of killing her newborn, meaning she will remain jailed while awaiting trial. During a tense hearing, her attorney argued she isn’t a flight risk and then abruptly asked to withdraw from the case, with a status hearing set for May.
