📰 News we're reading
• (September 18, 2026 Update) DOH-Franklin Issues Water Quality Health Advisory (franklincountyflorida.com) — If you’re heading to Carrabelle Beach, recent state testing shows the water is currently at safe bacteria levels, but conditions have changed several times over the past year. The health department has repeatedly issued and lifted advisories for Carrabelle and nearby Franklin County beaches when Enterococcus bacteria spiked, so swimmers should keep checking the Healthy Beaches site or hotline before getting in the water.
