Bryan Cranston Responds to Toys 'R Us 'Breaking Bad' Doll Ban

The AMC show's star congratulated the Florida mom who sparked protest over the meth-carrying dolls.

“Breaking Bad” fans who want to pick up a Heisenberg action figure or get their hands on a Hazmat-suit-wearing Jesse Pinkman doll won’t find what they’re looking for at Toys ‘R Us.

The retailer has put the 6-inch action figures on “indefinite sabbatical,” according to Time.com.

A brouhaha over the show’s action figures, which include detachable bags of cash and crystal meth, erupted when Fort Myers’ Susan Myers began a campaign on Change.org to get the retailer to pull the figures from its shelves.

“Parents and grandparents around the world shop at Toys ‘R Us, online and in stories, with their children and should not be forced to explain why a certain toy comes with a bag of highly dangerous and illegal drugs or why someone who sells those drugs deserves to be made into an action figure,” Myers’ petition stated.

As the number of supporters for Myers’ cause climbed to more than 9,000, Bryan Cranston, the show’s lead, began his own “protest” on Twitter.

“I’m burning my Florida Mom action figure in protest,” Cranston tweeted.

When news broke Wednesday that Toys ‘R Us had pulled the action figures, Cranston conceded.

“Toys R Us puts Breaking Bad toys on ‘indefinite sabbatical.’ Word on the street is they were sent to Belize. Nicely played Florida Mom.”

AMC’s “Breaking Bad” chronicled the transformation of mild-mannered Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher, into a drug kingpin when faced with a terminal cancer diagnosis. White’s alter ego “Heisenberg” made millions whipping up batches of crystal meth.

Myers took time out to thank her petition’s supporters in light of the Toys ‘R Us announcement.

“Again, thank you all so much for supporting this and making it happen,” Myers wrote on her Change.org page. “Just remember, that if you believe in something, go for it!!! YOU can make it happen!!!”!

While fans will no longer find the action figures on Toys ‘R Us shelves, show-related products are still available via the Breaking Bad official store’s website.
