Bryan Cranston Tweets Protest Over 'Breaking Bad' Action Figure Protest
The Hazmat-suit wearing, meth-toting dolls are whipping up a controversy.

A Florida mom’s petition to get Toys ‘R Us stores to pull “Breaking Bad” action figures from its shelves has caught the attention of at least one of the AMC show’s stars.
“Florida mom petitions against Toys ‘R Us over Breaking Bad action figures,” actor Bryan Cranston wrote on his Twitter feed. “I’m so mad, I’m burning my Florida Mom action figure in protest.”
Cranston portrayed chemistry teacher turned drug kingpin in the show.

The protest in question is a Change.org effort launched by Florida mom Susan Myers of Fort Myers. It requests that retailer Toys ‘R Us pull the “Breaking Bad” action figures from its shelves. The figures include a Jesse Pinkman doll in a Hazmat suit and Walter White in his meth-maker persona, “Heisenberg.” One of the dolls comes complete with a detachable bag of cash and some crystal meth.
The 6-inch action figures were available via the Toys ‘R Us website as of Monday, but a search for them Tuesday morning turned up nothing.

Fox News reported on its Facebook page that at least one Tampa Toys ‘R Us store has pulled the figures from its shelves.
“Parents and grandparents around the world shop at Toys ‘R Us, online and in stories, with their children and should not be forced to explain why a certain toy comes with a bag of highly dangerous and illegal drugs or why someone who sells those drugs deserves to be made into an action figure,” Myers’ petition states.
The petition had more than 6,000 supporters as of Tuesday morning. Check it out on Change.org.
