Halloween House Sings Along to 'All About That Bass'

First there were Griswold-style houses covered with lights that gyrated to Christmas orchestras.

Now an Odenton man has decorated his house for Halloween, complete with lit pumpkins rocking to the No. 1 hit “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor.

“This is our 2014 light show. We do this for fun, it is not a business, we make no money from this, just fun,” says Bryan Hagan on his YouTube video.

Hagan, who lives at the intersection of Ice Crystal Court and Symphony Lane in Odenton, has crafted light shows for Halloween and Christmas for the past three years, the Capital-Gazette reports.

“I have a couple neighbors who will give me a hand and the family,” Hagan told the Capital-Gazette. “This year, it’s actually been a little bit of help from everyone.”

Stringing the lights with help from his wife, Christine, and children Addison, 8, and Ethan, 5, is the easy part. Programming the lighted pumpkins to sing is time consuming, taking about eight hours.

Area residents appreciate the effort. On the YouTube video of the Hagan family’s Halloween house, Ann Rayne wrote: “That is seriously awesome!!! I live near Gambrills so I will have to come and bring the kids to check it out.”

And Andrew Luther said, “You guys are doing good things with your shows. They are well done and raising money for a good cause.”
