• County adheres to state's policy for extra July 4 days off (palatkadailynews.com) — If you rely on Crescent City government offices or local landfill sites, plan ahead: both Crescent City’s offices and county landfills will follow special holiday hours and be closed July 2–6 for the nation’s 250th birthday. Putnam County employees are getting those extra days off in line with a state directive, though emergency public works staff and the sheriff’s office will still have on-call coverage.
