• Crestview man armed with knife arrested after threatening family, barricading in trailer (weartv.com) — Crestview residents may have noticed a heavy law enforcement presence Monday after deputies say a 48-year-old man armed with a knife threatened family members and barricaded himself in a camper on Fuller Road. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office reports negotiators spent extended time on scene before the man finally exited, tried to run, and was arrested and booked into county jail.
   

• Deputies: Five arrested after brawl involving up to 50 patrons at Destin bar (weartv.com) — Two Crestview residents were among five people arrested after a massive brawl involving up to 50 patrons at Coyote Ugly in Destin early Sunday, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say the fight began inside the bar, spilled into the parking lot, and led to affray or resisting charges for those taken into custody.
