• Fall Fest back in Fernandina Beach (fbnewsleader.com) — Fernandina Beach families can mark their calendars for the city's second annual Fall Fest, set for Sept. 26 at the Atlantic Rec Center with a special sensory hour at noon. Expect games, hay rides, a floating pumpkin patch with timed pool sessions, food trucks, and pumpkin-decorating stations, though pumpkin patch access and snacks like popcorn and sno-cones require cash.
   

• Amelia Island Opera Receives $15,000 Grant to Fund Community Sing-Along Messiah (operawire.com) — Fernandina Beach residents are invited to sing along with Amelia Island Opera's community performance of Händel's Messiah on Nov. 29, 2026, at Amelia Plantation Chapel. A new $15,000 grant will fund free sheet music for up to 300 local participants, who'll join professional soloists and company co-founders in a community chorus suitable for all experience levels.
