• Fire station opens in Flagler Estates, improving access to emergency services (firstcoastnews.com) — Flagler Estates now has its first on-site fire station, cutting response times and boosting emergency coverage for local homes, especially in areas without hydrants. St. Johns County Fire Rescue Station 21 on Melanie Street houses Engine 21, a new 3,000-gallon tanker, and also serves as a sheriff's outpost, representing a $3.8 million investment in the community.
