Kick off Broward County’s cultural season at Arts Launch Broward 2026, a free, family-friendly event presented by the Broward Cultural Division.

Taking place at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Arts Launch brings nearly 90 local arts and cultural organizations together for a day of live performances, interactive activities, artist showcases, and “information about upcoming arts and cultural programs throughout Broward County.

Guests can explore activities and performances throughout the Broward Center, including the JM Family Studio, Amaturo Theater lobbies and Abdo New River Room.

<a href="https://historyfortlauderdale.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">History Fort Lauderdale</a>, committed to preserving our collective heritage, promoting historical literacy, and fostering a sense of pride and stewardship for the vibrant tapestry of our region’s history, will present its Hispanic Heritage Month fifth anniversary exhibit, “Viva Fort Lauderdale: Celebrating Hispanic Art &amp; Culture.” The free fine art exhibit, running from Thursday, September 17, through Sunday, October 25, will feature work from local award-winning artists-in-residence including Florencia Clement de Grandprey (Spain), Isabel Perez Salazar (Venezuela), and Lifrancis Rojas (Venezuela). New this year will be sculptures from Norman Silva (Nicaragua). The exhibit will be available to view at History Fort Lauderdale’s New River Inn (231 Southwest Second Avenue).
History Fort Lauderdale’s “Viva Fort Lauderdale” is sponsored by the following funds at the Community Foundation of Broward: Jan and Ed Crocker Unrestricted Fund, Leo M. and Alice J. Rutten Fund and The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation Broward Community Fund. Additional funding is provided, in part, by Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward County Cultural Council and Visit Lauderdale. 
History Fort Lauderdale hosts a variety of engaging multicultural experiences, year-round. It seeks to bring awareness to the community through both traveling exhibits and multiple permanent exhibits including “Women Trailblazers,” “Fort Lauderdale – the Early Years,” “Roots of Resilience: The Journey of Black Broward,” “Fashion &amp; Musical Theatre,” “From Dugouts to Dream Yachts: the story of boatbuilding along the New River,” Seminole Arts &amp; Culture,” “New River Archaeology,” and “Take PRIDE, a retrospective on LGBTQ life in South Florida.” 
History Fort Lauderdale is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. with docent guided tours, daily, at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Group walking tours are available upon special request. Admission is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors and $7 for students (through age 22 with a valid student ID). Admission is free for members, military and children ages six and under. ·Since 2007, this signature event has captivated diners while supporting Broward Partnership’s mission to reduce homelessness in Broward County.
·The evening begins with a lively cocktail reception where guests randomly draw numbers to determine their dining destination—known only to their chauffeurs.

The annual event will take place on Friday, Sept 25, from 5 to 8 p.m., with the picturesque New River creating the perfect backdrop.The community is invited to celebrate the founding families of Fort Lauderdale with festive fall fun. Guests will enjoy food trucks, beer and wine vendors, games, live music, and more for all ages. The Water Taxi will be providing complimentary rides. A special ceremony to honor the founding families will take place at 6:15 p.m.



All proceeds will support the year-round historic preservation and education programs at the Historic Stranahan House Museum, one of the top cultural attractions in Fort Lauderdale. The Historic Stranahan House Museum is the oldest house in Fort Lauderdale and the epicenter of Broward County’s long and fascinating history. Built in 1901, Stranahan House is recognized as the birthplace of Fort Lauderdale and was home to the area’s first businessman, Frank Stranahan, and the first schoolteacher, Ivy Cromartie Stranahan. Stranahan House opened as a museum in 1984.

Married, dating or co-parenting couples will get the tools they need to help strengthen relationships, improve communication, rebuild trust, and support healthier families from award-winning speakers and counselors.

Women United members commit to giving $1,000 annually to invest in the well-being of our community. Glow Together is an extension of that commitment, it’s an opportunity to pour back into the very women who give so much of themselves every day.</li></ul>
