• Video of disoriented turtle hatchlings crawling to hotel lights prompts backlash in Fort Lauderdale (local10.com) — Sea turtle advocates are calling out a Fort Lauderdale Beach resort after video showed 64 hatchlings crawling toward its bright lights instead of the ocean, allegedly violating the city's turtle-lighting code. The city can fine violators up to $500 per day, and only about a third of Fort Lauderdale businesses currently meet sea turtle-safe lighting standards, according to advocates.

- This morning, my dear friend and I once again walked the neighborhood, and ended up at The Alchemist in Wilton Manors, for coffee.
What a lovely, neighborhood spot that needs our support! So many people don't realize it's there! We pass by Storks and Starbucks. Would I pay less… (Nextdoor Poinsettia Heights) - Fascinating group of blue- headed wild parrots came by today they our known as vibrant green plumage the distinctive blue on their heads.
They're quite social can often be found in large flocks. Chattering loudly, are common in parts of South Florida. They love to feed at my feeders on… (Nextdoor Croissant Park)
