Starbucks To Close 250 Locations, Including 9 FL Shops: Reports (patch.com) — One of the nine Florida Starbucks locations closing this week is the shop at 4790 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers, as part of a 250-store North American cutback. The company says underperformance and experience concerns drove the decision, and affected employees may be transferred or receive severance as Starbucks continues remodeling and shifting its store footprint.

4. Woman accused of violating community control after arrest for armed robbery of Fort Myers store (gulfcoastnewsnow.com) — A woman previously convicted in a 2015 armed robbery of a Fort Myers convenience store is now accused of violating her community control, and authorities are again asking for the public's help. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is seeking anonymous tips and offering up to a $3,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
   

5. Motorcyclist dies at hospital after Marco Island T-bone crash (news-press.com) — A Marco Island motorcyclist critically injured in a Friday morning crash later died at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, underscoring ongoing traffic dangers in the region. Troopers say the rider turned left into the path of an oncoming pickup at North Collier Boulevard and East Elkcam Circle, marking at least the 29th traffic death in Collier County this year.
