• Federal grant supports free summer meals at 70 sites in Alachua County (gainesville.com) — Families in High Springs can pick up free weekly meal kits for kids 18 and under on Mondays this summer through Alachua County Public Schools’ grab-and-go site. From June 8 to July 20, each kit provides seven days of breakfasts and lunches to prepare at home, with no registration or income requirements. Other nearby towns also host sites, so families can choose the most convenient location.
