• Local Golf: Putnam First Cancer Fund tourney brings out big crowd (palatkadailynews.com) — Interlachen's American Legion Post 293 is gearing up for its fourth annual golf tournament on Sept. 19 at the Municipal Course, raising money to support disabled and homeless veterans in West Putnam and Northeast Marion counties. The column also recaps a packed Putnam First Cancer Fund charity scramble, previews the Third Street Charities tournament, and highlights a junior golf development program running through May.
