1. Spring Bloom: Plant Sale & Women Makers Market

When: April 4, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Spring is in bloom and it’s a great time to find locally grown plants to spruce things up in the yard and home. Meet regional growers and also find handcrafted goods from women makers. Along with the spring blooms, items at the market will include home decor, unique gifts, and handcrafted goods for the garden.

2. Riverside Arts Market

When: Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: 715 Riverside

The name says arts but in reality, this market is so much more. It’s community, art, food, makers and more. At the Riverside Arts Market, shoppers can find handmade goods from makers, farm fresh produce, and unique pieces from artists. Every Saturday shoppers will find different vendors and products.

3. Jacksonville Farmers Market

When: Monday - Saturday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Where: 1810 W. Beaver St.

Dating back to 1938, this is Florida’s oldest farmers market and it’s also the largest farmers market in north Florida. As a real working farmers market, up to 100 farmers and vendors are on site daily selling their wares, from fresh fruits and vegetables to specialty products. About 25,000 people visit the market weekly. For those who stop by, there’s also Andy’s Farmers Market Grill, where you can grab a bite for breakfast or lunch.

4. Springing the Blues Festival

When: April 10 - 12

Where: Seawalk Pavilion, 75 1st St. N., Jacksonville Beach

Take a short drive east and celebrate spring with blues on the beach. This three-day event is celebrating its 34th anniversary. The festival is free and the oceanfront location can’t be beat. Musical acts will include local, regional and national artists.

5. Wednesday Night Art Walk

When: Wednesdays, 5 - 9 p.m.

Where: James Weldon Johnson Park, 135 W. Monroe St.

Grab your friends or family and head downtown for a relaxing night at this monthly event that goes on rain or shine. The park is the main hub of action but visitors will find galleries, an open air art market, music, food and more in the downtown core. Many downtown businesses stay open to welcome the influx of visitors.

6. Silent Disco at Friendship Fountain

When: Last Saturday of the month, 6 - 9 p.m.

Where: Friendship Fountain, 1015 Museum Circle

Dance the night away and enjoy good vibes at this event at Friendship Fountain. Put on some headphones and enjoy the music and the fountain’s dazzling light show. There will be food trucks, a full bar and family-friendly fun.
