YULEE, FL — Debra Crosby admits that she wasn’t expecting company when she received a notification from her home security camera while she was driving that someone was at her front door.

But the visitor she had never met turned out to be a good Samaritan who had driven 20 minutes from a Jacksonville Walmart to return the wallet Crosby discovered she was missing over the weekend. Crosby, a middle school science teacher in Yulee, discovered she had lost her wallet when she went to check out at the store in River City, according to First Coast News. After paying for her purchases with cash she had on hand, she decided to drive home.

Already concerned about how she would begin to replace her credit cards, military identification card and credit cards, Crosby started the drive home and was greeted by a notification from Ring that someone was at her front door.

“Hey, how are you doing, I found your wallet at Walmart,” the man, who has not been identified, says on the video.

The man then says that he would place the wallet among some Amazon boxes on her porch, then leaves as the video ends. Crosby returned home to find her wallet with all of its contents stored just where the man said he would put it for safe keeping.

Crosby told First Coast News that she was taken aback by the stranger’s kindness and said she realizes that he didn’t have to make the 20-minute drive to return her property. She said that if the man saw the television report, she wanted him to know what the gesture meant to her.

“I thought that was a lot of above and beyond,” Crosby told First Coast News. "I have three sons of my own and I would hope they would do the exact same thing.”
