The Women's Giving Alliance grant will fund a program administrator and care manager for Rethreaded.

June 10, 2020

Jacksonville non-profit Rethreaded recently received the Women’s Giving Alliance grant. The funds from this prestigious grant will allow the organization to change the lives of more human trafficking survivors. The Women’s Giving Alliance is a group that combines their philanthropic giving to give back to organizations who are working to end female poverty. This year, they helped eight non-profits in Jacksonville, Florida. Rethreaded is grateful to be included as one of those non-profits. Rethreaded’s Survivor Development Program is supported by a grant from the Women’s Giving Alliance, an initiative of The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. Rethreaded recognizes The Community Foundation for their support of this project.

"The Women's Giving Alliance grant will fund a Program Administrator and Care Manager providing oversight to the Survivor Development Program and work closely with our mental health staff and the Director of Human Resources to coordinate staff training and professional development programming,” said Rethreaded Director of Finance Nikki Tubig Foiles. “The addition of these two staff members will provide the Rethreaded Survivor Development Program the necessary foundation and structure to elevate the quality of our program, offering our staff a greater chance at success."

The funds Rethreaded will receive through this grant will also support hiring more survivors as part of the largest hiring cycle in the company's history. Rethreaded hopes to hire these women in August.
