Nearly 30 Duval County School Sites To End Curbside Meal Service Due To Low Participation

Alternative sites are available for families who still want to pick up meals.

Since the beginning of the school year, the district has offered curbside meal service at all schools in order to provide meals for students doing at-home learning.

However, 29 of the schools have had very low participation rates, with 11 serving no meals a day. Because of this, the district will end the curbside meal service at those 29 school sites beginning Monday, Oct. 5.

Each of the schools where curbside meal service is ending has a school site within half a mile of their location where curbside meal service will continue.
