• Police identify man killed in Panama City shooting; suspect could face additional charges (mypanhandle.com) — Lynn Haven Police helped track and capture a suspect after a deadly Panama City shooting that began as a reported domestic dispute. Multiple agencies used license plate cameras and shared radio channels to coordinate a high-speed pursuit and manhunt, which ended with the suspect’s arrest in the Mowat Highlands area and serious felony charges. 
• The little-known communications network spreading across Bay County (newsherald.com) — A growing off-grid mesh radio network now includes repeaters in Lynn Haven, aiming to keep Bay County residents connected when cell towers fail during hurricanes or other disasters. Local volunteers are adding low-cost, solar-powered devices across nearby communities and hope to expand coverage further, including onto the Bay County Emergency Operations Center tower.
