Florida's Top 100 Worst Places to Live

The Tampa Bay area didn't fare well in the rankings put together by the folks at RoadSnacks.

It’s no secret that most states have towns that people might want to avoid moving to. When it comes to the worst of the worst in the Sunshine State, the Tampa Bay area doesn’t fare so well.

Just to be clear, the ranking list of Florida’s worst places to live was put together by the folks at RoadSnacks. That’s the website that professes to be dedicated to showing people “the real side of places that not everyone wants to hear.” The people behind the site are also responsible for determining the state’s “most redneck” towns. RoadSnacks is not to be confused with Thrillist, which proclaimed that Florida is “Worst in Everything.”

To arrive at its “worst place to live” findings for Florida, the writers at RoadSnacks looked at things that draw people to places to live, such as educational opportunities, lots of jobs, a low crime rate, high incomes and plenty of activities. With those factors identified, “we ranked the list based on places that are the worst in all of these categories, crunched the numbers and – like magic – got the list from worst to best,” the site’s writers said.
