• District 5 Babe Ruth Baseball Tournaments: Championships Galore (palatkadailynews.com) — Palatka’s 12-and-under Vikings went a perfect 4-0 to capture their Babe Ruth District 5 majors title and earn a trip to the North Florida state tournament in Jacksonville Beach June 17–21. Melrose squads also grabbed three championships during a rain-soaked four-day event featuring teams from around the region, with Palatka T-ball and minors teams turning in competitive showings.
