Access points 51–60 will be refreshed first, and officials may consider digital safety signs next month as a new COO steps into the role.
   

2. Audit recommends increased oversight for Bay County TDC, CVB (wjhg.com) — Tourism leaders in Panama City Beach are tightening oversight at the local Convention and Visitors Bureau and Bay County TDC after an audit examined how alleged thefts by two former executives went unnoticed. The report urges clearer budgeting, better tracking of amendments, and stricter controls on credit card and cash processes, while new CEO Griff Griffitts has added a chief operating officer to help strengthen day-to-day operations.
   

3. Two killed, including local 14-year-old, in traffic crashes (mypanhandle.com) — Panama City Beach Police are investigating a deadly early-morning crash where a pedestrian was struck on Back Beach Road, with the driver identified and the victim’s name still withheld. In a separate Bay County wreck, a 14-year-old Youngstown teen died after being ejected from an SUV on Highway 231. Both incidents remain under investigation.
   

4. Beach Care Services annual Duck Race makes a splash in Panama City Beach (mypanhandle.com) — A lively duck race at Laketown Wharf in Panama City Beach brought police, firefighters, local businesses, and TV personalities together to raise money for Beach Care Services. Teams raced inflatable ducks in relay-style heats while spectators enjoyed auctions, food, and drinks, all supporting emergency help with rent, utilities, food, and medical bills for locals in need.
