Parkland Youth Killed in Accident on Hillsboro Blvd. (tapinto.net) — An 18-year-old Parkland resident, Maxwell Patel, was killed Saturday night in a motorcycle crash on Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach that also fatally injured a juvenile passenger in another car and hospitalized five others. Broward Sheriff's Office traffic homicide detectives are still investigating the circumstances, and two surviving juveniles remain in critical condition. 
2. Heron Bay HOA backs off some controversial landlord rules (therealdeal.com) — Parkland residents in Heron Bay should know their HOA has scaled back some controversial landlord and leasing rules but kept limits like one lease per year and the power to evict rule-breaking tenants. The revised policies follow heated meetings and sharp disagreements between landlords, homeowners, and tenants over property rights, safety, and allegations of discrimination within this large Coral Springs–Parkland community.
3. MSD Boys and Girls Cross-Country Start Season With 1st-Place Finishes (parklandtalk.com) — Marjory Stoneman Douglas boys' and girls' cross-country teams opened their season with dominant first-place finishes at a meet in Deerfield Beach, showcasing deep rosters and multiple top-10 performances. For Parkland families and students, it's an early highlight for the school's fall sports calendar and a strong sign of what's ahead this season.
4. Moskowitz leans into work combating antisemitism as he launches general election campaign (jewishinsider.com) — Standing outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Rep.
