• University of West Florida students uncover ancient artifacts ahead of stadium construction (wkrg.com) — Before UWF builds its new football stadium in Pensacola, archaeology students uncovered Native American artifacts dating back as far as 600 A.D. on campus. Their survey, required before construction, is revealing multiple periods of Indigenous occupation and giving graduate students rare hands-on experience interpreting the area's deep history beneath familiar university grounds.
