While beach access fees will remain, officials say the $6.5 million Pensacola Beach Gateway project should smooth traffic flow and make the area safer for drivers, bikers and walkers.

Take Stock in Children angel mentor changes lives in Escambia County (weartv.com) — In Pensacola, longtime volunteer mentor Jeanne Meyer is transforming Escambia County students' lives through the Take Stock in Children program, which pairs adults with middle schoolers through high school and into college. Her steady presence, along with other mentors, helps local kids facing serious family challenges stay on track for scholarships, careers in helping professions, and brighter futures.
