NYC Social Media Influencer Sentenced In FL Bank Fraud Case: Brodsky
A New York social media influencer was sentenced to Florida prison for a bank fraud case in Sarasota, the state attorney said.
SARASOTA, FL — A social media influencer from New York City is heading to prison after pleading guilty in a Florida bank fraud case, according to a news release from State Attorney Ed Brodsky’s office.
Danielle Miller, who shared her lavish lifestyle on Instagram, pleaded guilty to fraudulently using personal identification information, a felony, and was sentenced to five years in prison, Brodsky’s office said.
The influencer, who said she considers herself “a con artist” in a New York magazine article published earlier this year, came to Florida from New York in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the news release.

While in Florida, she and a co-defendant in the case, Ciera Blas, traveled to Sarasota. There, Miller went to a Chase bank and tried using a fake passport at the drive-thru to withdraw more than $8,000 from an account that belonged to a victim in California, the state attorney’s office said.
A bank manager caught the fraudulent transaction and called the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, which arrested Miller. She faces additional fraud charges in a separate case in November, Brodsky’s office said.

Blas was also arrested and charged in Sarasota. She met Miller while they were both serving time in a Rikers Island jail on separate charges, New York magazine reported.
The article also detailed how Miller befriended Anna Sorokin, the infamous con artist known as Anna Delvey, whose story inspired a Netflix series, in the detention facility.
